I have been working hard preparing to move my practice online. My hope is that I can continue to provide practical support and help by way of video-conferencing until it is safe to return to face-to-face sessions.
I have been a full-time counsellor for 30 years (8 in GP surgeries) and previously worked in business and government settings both in the UK and abroad. I am married with two grown-up sons. My interests include music, art, yoga, holistic health and the natural world.
I have an MA in Counselling Studies from Keele University in 1997 where my research dissertation was ‘The Use of Imagery in the Treatment of Depression’. I gained experience with a local Rape & Sexual Abuse Centre, a Day Centre for Mentally and Physically Disabled Adults and was therapist/trustee for a charity.
I am a registered member of the British Association for
Counselling. I abide by professional Codes of Ethics & Practice.
I hold a Standard Disclosure Certificate from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) and I am registered for Data Protection with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICS).

I also offer a separate therapy - The Radiance Technique® (Authentic Reiki®) – simple but powerful practice for meditation & relaxation which you can also learn for yourself. See also The Radiance Technique Association of Great Britain website: www.trtagb.org.uk.
I enjoy working with people of all ages (children accompanied by an adult) and am pleased to explore both personal and spiritual themes.
